I believe this is the way giraffes
evolved from camels (at least
Darwin would have said so...)

(*) Jacques Majorelle was a French painter, living in the golden age of colonialism. He built this marvelous deep blue Villa with a huge garden around it, and made it his residence because he suffered of tuberculosis and needed a healthy climate to heal himself. After his death the Villa and the Gardens were sold, and they are now the private property of the French couturier Yves Saint-Laurent. The current owner made a museum out of the Villa, displaying both Majorelle paintings and Moroccan pieces of popular Arabian and Berber art (jewels, pottery, glassware, wood carvings ...). The art pieces are very beautiful, but unfortunately taking pictures was not allowed ... tears

The Gardens are still well taken care of, and have a good variety of cactuses and other plants.
