The Ourika Valley (you can see some shot
in the towns and places page) is a
fertile valley in the low Atlas, near Marrakech. Due to its closeness
to Marrakech, it is often a tour target for tourists staying there.
We were no exception, and had an organised trip to visit the valley and a small village on the mountain side. I don't remember the name of the village because I forgot to take a note, but those villages look very similar to each other anyways. The village has a Berbe population living out of farming and handicrafts. As you can see from the pics, life conditions are decent but quite poor. We had a visit to a local family who offered us something to eat (bread and good olive oil) and mint tea to drink. While the group was drinking mint tea, I strolled around the house to take a few pics.
